Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our company driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or from the airport. Our guide will brief you about your safari and drive northwards to Volcanoes national park in Musanze district – a home to 360 Mountain Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge ( Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Day 2: First Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes
Wake up early today for your breakfast and by 7:30am, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing about do’s and don ts when you see the gorillas by one of the ranger guides. Later enter the forest to track the gorillas, an. You are allowed to spend only 1hr with the gorillas once you meet them. Descend back to your hotel for relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a community walk. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking / Dian Fossey Hike
Have an early breakfast and head out to assemble at the park headquarters for briefing, and later Either go for golden monkey tracking or hike up to Karisoke research centre, established by Dian Fossey, an American primatologist who dedicated all her life conserving the lives of mountain gorillas until she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a mountain gorilla. You will learn more about the lives of the mountain gorillas at the research center. On return, you will cross over to Uganda and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Mahogany Springs ( Luxury), Gorilla Mist Camp (Mid-range), Buhoma Homestead (Basic).
Day 4: Second Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi & Community Walk
Have breakfast early and should assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts when you meet the gorillas. Later enter the forest to trek these magnificent creatures after which head to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, if your up for it, go for community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained by the tales of their beautiful culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel (Day 3)
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning, you will set off to Queen Elizabeth NP driving via Ishasha sector where you will have game drives to view tree-climbing lions, a variety of bird species. Arriving in time for lunch and resting at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will be rewarded with view of game as Hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants as well as a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury), Enganzi lodge (mid-range), Kingfisher Lodge (Budget).
Day 6: Game drive and Chimpanzee Tracking
Early morning, you will wake up to go for game drives to catch up with early risers before returning to their hiding places. You will encounter game as lions, hyenas, bushbucks, elephants among others. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast, and lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge where you will encounter other primates as Colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, baboons among others. Dinner and overnight at your hotel
Day 7: Transfer to Kigali/Kampala
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer back to Kigali, with stopover on the way to admire the beautiful topography and shopping. Have city tour in Kigali where you will visit the local market, museum, genocide memorial center. Alternatively, you may transfer to Kampala and depart from Entebbe Uganda. Dinner and overnight at your chosen hotel or transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Located south of Fort Portal, at an altitude of 1,230 m above sea level, Kibale Forest provides a rich and unique habitat for more than 250 species of animal and over 300 types of bird. The animal species include 11 primates, including black and white colobus monkeys and chimpanzees. The forest offers an excellent ground for birding.
Kibale Chimps 
Day 001: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
With the help of our guide, you will start off the journey to Kibale Forest National Park at least by 8.00 am and access Fort portal by mid-day through Mityana town. The Rwenzori Mountain ranges can be seen on the horizon. You will check in at the lodge and later visit the crater lakes region for sightseeing. 

Overnight at Ndali Lodge (Luxury), Primates lodge (Midrange) or Mountains of the moon (Budget)


Day 002: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk
After obtaining breakfast, you will have an organized excursion to the chimps by 8.00 am. A maximum of three groups of six people can track the chimpanzees in the morning or afternoon. The morning walk is reported to offer a better opportunity to see the primates usually seen in the fig trees. You may have an opportunity to see other animals such as Red, black- and- white Colobus monkeys, baboons, vervet, red-tailed; L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey and sometimes the big mammals such as the elephants, buffaloes, warthog, bush pig, and giant forest hog among others. You will return to the lodge for Lunch and later take a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary south-east of Kanyankyu Tourist Centre. This is an excellent place to see some of the special birds endemic to this habitat such as the gonoleks, White-winged Warbler and PapyrusCanary. Overnight at Ndali lodge, Primates Lodge or Mountains of the moon
Day 003: Departure 
After breakfast, you may pay a visit to some tourist sites such the numerous volcanic crater lakes in this area and later drive back to Entebbe for your flight back home.
